Customer Service Heaven

I saw the following in my feed list this morning and since it dovetails nicely into a post I wanted to make regarding companies that offer great customer service, I decided to include it.

Every consumer has different experiences when it comes to dealing with various retailers and service providers. These experiences can be both positive and negative. In my opinion, what a company does in response to a poor experience is what really makes or breaks them. Let's face it, nobody is perfect. There will be times someone is going to screw up.

This will sound odd, but there are three companies (all online, go figure) who have made problem situations into something enjoyable. They are Apple, Amazon.com and Netflix. I won't bore you with the specifics in each case (you are welcome), but I do have to say that problems have been handled quickly, efficiently and, dare I say it, pleasantly. Granted, your mileage may vary.

So back to the post that triggered this. Amazon buying Netflix? That's just the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups of online retailers as far as I'm concerned!
